At 262 metres, the Bitexco Financial Tower isn't the tallest building in the city any more (Landmark 81 across the river has taken that title), but it's still the most iconic silhouette on the skyline, thanks to its distinctive lotus-inspired curve and the cantilevered helipad partway up. The Saigon Skydeck occupies the 49th floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the Saigon River and the district grid below.
Skydeck vs. a rooftop bar
This is the real question most visitors are weighing up. The Skydeck is a dedicated, purpose-built observation floor with consistent 360-degree views and no minimum spend beyond the entry ticket — a straightforward option if you just want the view. A rooftop bar (there are several excellent ones nearby) usually costs about the same once you've bought a drink, comes with a view in one or two directions rather than all four, but adds atmosphere, sunset cocktails and a reason to linger.
Best time to go
Late afternoon into sunset is the most popular window, understandably, which also means it's the busiest. Arriving an hour or so before sunset gets you daylight views, the transition, and the city lights coming on, all in one visit, though it's worth expecting a queue at peak times.

Tickets are sold at the tower entrance on Ham Nghi Boulevard. The tower sits within easy walking distance of Ben Thanh Market and the Nguyen Hue walking street.
